OptiLight is composed of flat and / or curved, fully dimmable light modules.

  •  Technology compliance with OEM standards:

       The LBM (flat panel) and PLS (curved panel) lighting systems are specifically designed for the inspection of paint quality under full OEM compliance.

        Beside using using the latest, fully dimmable, LED technology, this translates especially by specific light temperatures, in 4.000 K or 5.000 K, with a luminosity that could be pushed up to 6.000 Lux on the surface to be inspected.

          

 

 

  • Increased operator ergonomics:

      Our patented light profile, increases the overall operator experience.

     The used light profile is actually combining the advantages of traditional, stepped white-black transition, together with the most advanced sinusoïde grey level transition profiles

Explanation:

     Traditional inspection systems use only stepped white-black transitions (see left reflection image), being adapted to larger defects. However these tend to limit the overall detectability of very small defects! The operators need to be more concentrated, work closer to the vehicle and move significantly more around each spot to inspect (~40% more/longer head movements). This generally results in fatigue effects with poor detection rates.

      The limitation comes from the physical light ray geometry of traditional settings: as, by using a stepped pattern, very small defects are only seen during a very short period of time. As mentioned above, the operator needs to move more, and to pay extra attention in that case. On the other hand, grey level transitions allow defect visibility for a much longer period of time, whilst remaining (nearly) static.

  • Optimized Tunnel shape:

The proposed systems come with an optimized tunnel shape:

 

Curved segments, follow the average vehicle body profile much closer than any traditional system with flat light panels. This means the reflected light pattern is more regular (same width above than below for example) and it avoids distortions on the vehicle holm segments (areas where flat lights would be arranged in a 90° corner.

 

Additionally, mobile PLS tunnels have an optimized hinge corner system with an extremely narrow “dead” zone in between two light panel. As such, the vertical zone without any light is less than 4”, allowing nearly continuous reflection on the vehicle body.

  • Mobile solution:

Our tunnel solutions are specifically designed for “rapid deployment” or, could even come in “mobile”, allowing very simple and fast deployment/transfer on any site (note: one of its target markets being, on site, mass inspections after storm events).

As such it exists in 2 possible configurations: one coming on a dedicated trailer, and one coming on a transport rack pallet.

 

The equipments doe not need any on-site preparation work, other than a flat floor and an appropriate power supply.

 

One individual tunnel segment consists of 3 curved light box modules, arranged together as one set, using specifically designed hinges. Each segment fully autonomous, with its own integrated power supply.

Individual segments are lightweight, to enable easy setup by 2 operators.

All the PLS light tunnel segments come in pre-wired configuration, to be plugged into the dedicated power connection boxes within the floor rails.

 

Installation can be done in less than 2 hours, by 2 operators, without any dedicated tools.

OptiLight systems can be installed in different modes: on a wall, on the floor, hanging from the roof; in a corner; with or without adaptable flap system...

 

Customisable light modules:

Module size, shape and radius (flat or curved), light temperature and luminosity can be adapted to any specific need.

Dimmable:

OptiLight’s are fully dimmable via one centralised dim button.
